Our philosophy
We are the only academy in Germany that offers full-time study programs to become a state-approved painter or sculptor. Both programs have a standard period of study of three years and can then be extended with a one-year additional qualification in the area of concept art/VFX. In this way, we impart centuries-old knowledge of art as a comprehensive foundation and combine it with current skills in digital drawing for modern artistic professions.
In addition to the goal of providing our students with the highest quality artistic education, we maintain a trusting and familial atmosphere. Through professional training in various methods and marketing-related specialist topics, students learn to develop their own style and prepare themselves optimally to be successful in their later professional lives. Our international orientation means we can offer an exciting exchange with a wide variety of people, styles and experiences.
Executive Team / Direktion
You need good minds to teach and design a high-quality teaching program. That is why we would like to introduce you to our Academy Directors. Their top priority is not only to impart technical knowledge to the students, but also to accompany them on their creative path and support them individually. Each teacher brings their own experiences and perspectives to the classroom, creating a rich, diverse learning environment. They create a space in which mistakes are understood as learning processes and students dare to push their boundaries and try new things.
Dana Güttler
Director
As director, she is the soul of the Academy of Fine Art. She discovered her love of art at a very early age and quickly realized that realistic art should be taught from the ground up. Since there were no opportunities to do this in Germany at the time, she took intensive private lessons from numerous teachers.
After completing her business studies, she set herself the goal of making realistic art accessible again as an education in Germany and has successfully achieved this with the Academy of Fine Art Germany since 2014. She uses her commercial understanding paired with artistic know-how in the Academy for representative purposes, making important contacts and managing the institution.
