What will I learn?
The instructors of the Academy of Fine Art Germany will teach you the important basics of drawing. This ranges from getting to know the materials we work with, to a technique called ‘sight-size’, which all our students learn. It is a method of transferring the correct proportions, and you will notice how much more enjoyable drawing becomes once you have mastered it. Furthermore, you will be taught how to create a 3-dimensional effect in drawing. For this purpose we will instruct you in the ‘right way of seeing’, which is also connected to effectively using light and shadow in your drawing.

You will receive a list of materials via email after you register (the cost for these will be between 30 to 50 Euros, depending on whether you already own any materials). What will I learn?

In the workshop we start with the composition of the picture. For this, you bring personal objects that you would like to immortalize in your painting and put them together into an attractive composition. You have the choice whether fruits, flowers and / or objects from your everyday life. We start with a preliminary drawing, which is then transferred to the canvas. Then it goes step by step from the underpainting to the final layers of color. During the process you will learn about paint application, use of brushes and mixing of colors. In the end you will be able to take home a beautiful painting.
