We interviewed our teachers. Workshops, full-time study, part-time study? – These are all options offered at our Academy. But who is behind all this? Do you already know our teachers? We are going to introduce to you one of our teachers: Augustin.
Agustin, what do you do when you’re not at the Academy?
I like doing sport, like, for example, swimming, cycling or jogging. I also like watching football games, reading or going to museums.
What feelings do you want to create on the viewers of your artworks?
To be honest, none. It is much more important to me that I can put into practice the idea that I had and that I succeed in transmitting the atmosphere that I had into my mind.
Which is your favorite country and why?
My favorite country is Italy. I like the art and the life there. I am fascinated by Rome.

I have my breakfast, and then a shower. In addition, in the morning, I mostly listen to the radio to start the day in a good mood.
What do you like most about your job?
I love teaching. Developing new strategies and adapting them to new people is a lot of fun I am a person, who can easily adapt to different people and I enjoy getting to know new languages and cultures.
Where have you been working so far?
In Argentina, Uruguay, Italy, Spain and now in Germany.
What couldn’t you live without?
There are many things. But I certainly couldn’t live without sunrises and nature. They help me relax.
What will be your next project?
Currently, I’m still working on a big picture. At the same time, I would like to continue working on my “Figure” series. But I Just don’t have time
How much time do you spend on your art?
Unfortunately, too little. When I have time, it is between 8-10 hours. However, currently, my focus is on teaching. Therefore, I have put the painting and drawing aside.
What Is Your Favorite Artwork and Why?
Again, I find the fresco from the Sistine Chapel by Michelangelo great. I also think that the artworks of Justin Mortimer are great, the atmosphere he embodies is unique. But I also like classical works like the starry night of Van Gogh.
Who is your role model in art? Why?
I have a few role models. However, I find Michelangelo inspiring. He combines the technique with the symbolism, this is impressive.
